Schools Partner with the PEER Network to Support Teachers & Leaders

LITTLE ROCK (March 5, 2024) - More than 40 schools across Central and Northeastern Arkansas are taking additional steps to provide support to teachers and school leaders at a time when teacher shortages persist.  The PEER Network is a partnership between the Arkansas Public School Resource Center (APSRC) and the Crowley’s Ridge Educational Service Cooperative (CRESC) designed to help partner schools recruit, develop, and retain diverse and highly qualified staff using distributed leadership.  The PEER Network was established in 2021 through a federal Teacher and School Leader (TSL) grant and expanded to PEER 2.0 through an additional 2023 TSL grant award.  The latest award replicates the successful 2021 grant, which continues to serve nearly 60 schools across Arkansas.  PEER 2.0 will serve 1,616 students and 21,711 teachers in more than 40 high-need charter and rural schools.  The following schools have engaged with PEER 2.0:

Through PEER 2.0, partner schools receive training, coaching, and job-embedded support.  Partner schools also receive personalized performance management to ensure schools, school leaders, and teacher leaders meet or exceed their goals. PEER 2.0 supports organizational infrastructure change and leverages powerful results for future generations.
