Michael Helms

J. Michael Helms is currently serving as the Director of Legal Services of the Arkansas Public School Resource Center (APSRC).

Prior to joining APSRC, Michael served as Chief Legal Counsel for the Office of the Arkansas Lottery, as Assistant Chief Executive Officer for the Arkansas Workers’ Compensation Commission, and as an Enforcement Attorney for the Arkansas Securities Department.  Michael was in private practice from 1998 until entering state service on a full-time basis in 2014.

Michael received his Bachelor of Business Administration, Economics degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 1995 and his Juris Doctor (With Honors) from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, William H. Bowen School of Law in 1997.
