Kim Bowerman

Kim Bowerman joined APSRC in July 2023 as a Literacy Specialist. Prior to coming to APSRC, Kim worked for the Springdale School District for ten years as an Assistant Principal, Instructional Facilitator, and Literacy Teacher all at Sonora Middle School.  During her time at Sonora Middle School, she participated in a PLC Cohort, provided some professional development for literacy throughout the district, and maintained her classroom as a model classroom for the Springdale District.  Kim has also worked for the Van Buren and Elkins School Districts as a Middle School Teacher for Literacy and Social Studies.  She holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management and a Master of Science in Education in Educational Leadership.   Prior to her work in education, Kim has 12 years of experience in Human Resources.

Kim and her husband, Jeff, reside in Northwest Arkansas with their children.  She spends her time away from work cheering on her kids at their sporting events or her husband’s football team.
