APSRC Praxis Support Helping Teachers Achieve Licensure

After working with Cheryl Blue, APSRC Curriculum & Instruction Specialist, James Foreman with LISA Academy was able to pass his Praxis exam. Now, James is a licensed instructor in Secondary ELA, 7-12.

In the 2023-2024 school year, Cheryl offered FREE Praxis Support, providing participants with study material and onsite support via study sessions at APSRC. Participants took diagnostic exams, completed study materials, studied for a minimum of 12 hours—including 6 hours at APSRC, and needed to pass one practice exam. James was a participant in the 2023-2024 program.

After achieving licensure, James shared, "The ASPRC and its dedication to educators was refreshing. Not only did it finance test fees, but also provided collaborative resources for teachers to expedite the licensing process. I am delighted to have been provided the opportunity."
