APSRC Welcomes Four New Team Members

LITTLE ROCK – Arkansas Public School Resource Center (APSRC) is proud to announce the addition of four new members to the team: Sandra Doggett, Kaitlyn Tolleson, Sherry Washington, and Justin Warner.

 

Sandra Doggett
Director of Special Education

Sandra Doggett joined APSRC as Special Education Director in the summer of 2025, bringing with her over 28 years of experience in the field of special education.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in K–12 Special Education from the University of Central Arkansas, along with certifications in English Language Arts and Social Studies (grades 5–8). She also earned a Master of Science in Education (MSE) with licensure in P–12 Administration and has completed graduate coursework toward an additional degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Although retired from classroom teaching, Sandra’s passion for supporting educators and improving outcomes for students with disabilities continues to guide her work. She remains committed to lifelong learning and values the opportunity to collaborate with schools and professionals across Arkansas.

Outside of her professional life, Sandra is a widow, proud to have six wonderful stepchildren and sixteen grandchildren. She enjoys road trips, shopping, reading, spending time with family and friends, and always finding a new project or adventure to dive into.

 

Kaitlyn Tolleson
Director of Communications

Kaitlyn Tolleson stepped into her role as Director of Communications in early August of 2025.

With over a decade of experience serving in the federal government, including key roles at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s National Center for Toxicological Research and the Pine Bluff Arsenal, Kaitlyn has defined her career with a commitment to clear, impactful communication that drives organizational alignment, employee engagement, and strategic decision-making.

Kaitlyn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Henderson State University. She is passionate about using the power of storytelling and strategic messaging to support public service missions and foster collaboration across diverse teams. 

In her free time, Kaitlyn enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. 

 

Sherry Washington
Science Specialist

Sherry Washington joined APSRC as a Science Specialist in July 2025. Prior to her position at APSRC, she dedicated one year to Conway Junior High School as an ESL English Teacher and eleven years to LISA Academy Charter School, where she served as a Middle School Science Teacher and ESOL Coordinator. In addition, she held the roles of STEM and Science Olympiad Coach and Science Fair Coordinator and was responsible for teaching Project Lead the Way classes. 

Sherry holds a Bachelor of Science in Family & Consumer Science from the University of Central Arkansas, as well as a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Throughout her professional journey, she has obtained an ESOL K-12 endorsement and completed the Arkansas Leadership Academy: Teacher Leader Program facilitated by APSRC. One of her most notable achievements was being awarded the Arkansas Charter School Teacher of the Year in 2023, an honor that further motivated her to enhance student learning outcomes. She is a strong advocate for the belief that all students can achieve success through collaboration.

In her spare time, Sherry enjoys spending time with her family and has a particular interest in documentaries about space. She aspires to travel to the moon in the future.

 

Justin Warner
Math Specialist

Justin Warner joined APSRC as a Math Specialist in July 2025, bringing 18 years of experience in secondary mathematics education and a passion for helping students succeed while fostering a love of math.

Having spent the first five years of his career at Benton High School and the last 13 years at Conway High School, Justin has developed a deep understanding of the challenges and rewards of teaching in Arkansas schools. In addition to his teaching experience, Justin has worked as a school bus driver at Conway High School for 13 years, where he has developed strong relationships with students and staff alike. His diverse skill set also includes coaching the tennis team at Benton High School, where he demonstrated leadership and teamwork both on and off the court.

Justin earned his Bachelor of Science in Education in Math Education from the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) in 2007 and later pursued a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Arkansas State University in 2013. Most recently, he completed his Online Teaching Certificate from UCA in 2024, expanding his ability to support and engage students in virtual learning environments.

At Conway High School, Justin served as the team leader for both the Geometry and Precalculus teaching teams, where he mentored colleagues, coordinated curriculum, and worked collaboratively to improve student outcomes.

When he's not in the classroom or at school, Justin enjoys spending time with his wife and two beautiful daughters. He is also an avid scuba diver and recently earned his Rescue Diver certification, reflecting his commitment to lifelong learning and personal growth. As a math specialist at APSRC, Justin is dedicated to supporting teachers and students across the state to improve math education and create a positive, engaging learning experience for all.
