Due to a pending vacancy on the ATRS Board in Member
Non-Licensed Position #7, the ATRS Board voted on June 3, 2013 to appoint a successor Trustee to
serve until June 30, 2015. The ATRS Board of Trustees has authority to appoint a successor Trustee by
majority vote of the Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees also voted to attempt to fill this
position by an appointment as early as its July 26, 2013, Board of Trustees meeting. Any classified
(non-licensed) member in the state may serve in this position.
The ATRS Board has instructed the ATRS staff to notify ATRS
members, educationally related interest groups that traditionally represent ATRS members, ATRS
